Media’s new golden Goose

Miley, Miley, Miley!!! I mean Miley Cyrus. Media has been obsessing about everything she does for a while. She is the media’s new golden goose. Everything she wears/does creates a controversy to the extent even our oldie goldie Rush Limbaugh (conservative radio talk show host) has something to say about it. Just so you know I love Rush; “D” got me addicted to him. In a way maybe it is good because Miley gave us a breather from obsessing about what heels Kim Kardashian is wearing? (more…)

Do the shades really matter?

Recently, I went to watch a Tollywood (Telugu) movie with my brother and his friends. It was almost an hour’s drive from my brother’s place. We grabbed a bite from a restaurant on our way to the movies. When we were eating, I had a crazy and frustrating conversation with my brother’s friend. Though I did not know what to make of it, my idea that society is filled with hypocrites was just reinforced. Let’s call my brother’s friend “A.” (more…)

Story time: Cats and Squirrel

Today I decided to tell you a story. This is a popular bedtime story in the cat world. Every cat kid falls asleep only after their cat mom tells them this story. The story is called “Cats and Squirrel” and so the title.

Once upon a time not so long ago in a not so distant land called Outdoors, lived three cats. No one knew where they came from, where they lived and where they slept? The cats did not have their mom with them and had to find their own food. One day, they decided that they want to name each other, so they can be like all other cats. They choose the names Johnny, Mary, and Jack. They were happy with their brand-new  names and were living happily. One morning Johnny was chasing a squirrel. The squirrel climbed the tree, and Johnny was jumping to reach the squirrel. This caught the eye of Princess “R.” (more…)
